Friend Nidhi reveals how Anjali was dragged to her death while begging for help

Nidhi revealed that she didn't report the incident to the police because she was too scared to speak to anyone.

In a shocking revelation, the friend of a deceased Delhi woman has come forward to contest the claims of Delhi Police about the cause of the accident that led to the woman’s death. According to the friend, Nidhi, the accident was a deliberate collision caused by the car owners, rather than a case of drunken driving as the police had suggested.

Victim Shouted for Help, Car Owners Ignored Her

Nidhi, who was riding as a passenger with the victim, Anjali, at the time of the accident, said that Anjali had shouted for help but the car owners ignored her screams and kept driving. Anjali’s leg became trapped under the car after the collision and she was unable to free herself, yet the car was driven away. As a result, Anjali was dragged for approximately 12 kilometers from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in the capital, ultimately leading to her death on the first day of the new year.

Friendship Began Just Two Weeks Prior

According to Nidhi, she and Anjali had only become friends a fortnight prior to the accident and had planned to celebrate the new year together. On the night of the accident, the two women had left a hotel at around 2 am after a disagreement. As they were driving, Anjali expressed a desire to meet her boyfriend and said that if she couldn’t, she would die. When Nidhi tried to get off the scooter, Anjali promised to drive more slowly, but shortly thereafter, their scooter collided with a car.

Too Scared to Report Incident to Police

Nidhi revealed that she was too scared to speak to anyone, including the police, about the incident. However, when the police approached her, she told them everything. The 20-year-old Anjali was the sole breadwinner for her family and worked for a management firm.

Video of Anjali and Nidhi Outside Hotel Emerges

Delhi Police have procured new CCTV footage that depicts Anjali and her friend, Nidhi, exiting a hotel on the evening of Anjali’s unfortunate accident. The footage, acquired by ANI, showcases the two women riding a scooter with Anjali occupying the pillion seat and Nidhi riding.

As the police continue to investigate the accident, which occurred on the first day of the new year and resulted in Anjali’s tragic death, this footage supplies further information that may aid authorities in comprehending the events leading up to the incident.
