Homegrown startup NephroPlus goes international, secures funding to expand in Uzbekistan

NephroPlus, India’s premier dialysis network, just scored a major funding win! The company recently signed a INR 69.5 crore (around $9.5 million) financing deal with the Asian Development Bank to expand its operations into Uzbekistan.

This investment will help NephroPlus build four state-of-the-art dialysis centers as part of a larger partnership with the Union health ministry and the Republic of Uzbekistan, following the securing of a $100 million contract. This is a huge step forward for NephroPlus as it continues to grow and bring top-quality dialysis care to more people around the world.

NephroPlus is getting a major boost from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP) to bring its innovative dialysis centers to Uzbekistan.

The company has secured a loan of up to INR 41.7 crore from ADB and the administration of a loan of up to INR 27.8 crore from LEAP. With these funds, NephroPlus will be able to design, build, operate, and maintain its dialysis centers in Uzbekistan. This is a major milestone for the company as it continues to expand and bring its cutting-edge kidney care solutions to more people around the globe.

NephroPlus is not only bringing top-quality dialysis care to Uzbekistan, but also working to promote gender equality in the healthcare industry. With the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), NephroPlus is enhancing and implementing a gender action plan to increase the participation of women in technical and skilled roles in dialysis treatment centers through specific training programs. As a result, women will make up half of the personnel trained to use dialysis machines and conduct dialysis treatment at NephroPlus centers around the world.

NephroPlus is an innovative startup that is revolutionizing the way kidney care is delivered in India. With over 200 centers across more than 20 states, NephroPlus is one of the leading providers of dialysis and other kidney-related medical services. Whether you need hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or support for a kidney transplant, NephroPlus has you covered.
