Reliance ‘4G’ is the new trending Hotcake in telecom sector. In an effort to bring high-speed and reliable 3G connection to backward places of India where 4G is beyond reality, as a result Reliance Telecom has announced inter-circle network partnership with with other telecom players like Aircel & tata Docomo to provide well connected and reliable network fabric across country. Reliance, docomo and Aircel, all three have 3G spectrum license in 10+ telecom circles and a huge user base. After the deal 2G and 3G customers can enjoy free roaming service in any State of India.

“The combined subscriber base of reliance, docomo and aircel will be over 150 million”

The Official statement by the Reliance telecom says, “A pact for 90-day exclusive talks has been initiated with Aircel’s majority owner. The potential merge will exclude RCom’s towers and optical fibre and other infrastructures. Any transaction is subject to completion of due diligence, definitive documentation and regulatory, shareholders’ and other third party approvals.

The Official statement by the Aircel states “telecom industry is at a position where players are faced with high process cost, high energy requirement and infrastructure including distribution network. Given this dynamic nature of the industry, it is unavoidable for operators to consider such arrangements to offer continued and hassle-free  mobile services to the customers”.
