5 Home remedies for hair growth and preventing hair loss.

1)   Egg
As discussed earlier one of the main cause of hair loss is lack of protien in the body, egg white is perhaps the best solution to dull hair.

Egg white is rich in proteins, zinc, phosphate and iron they not only soften the hair but gives it an amazing shine and increases thicker hair growth.
Crack open 2-3 eggs and remove the yellow yolk, apply the white mask on your hair and leave it for 15-20 mins, wash your hair for instant shiny and bouncy hair.

2)   Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is used widely in cosmetics mainly for skin protection and cleansing of skin pores. However most people are not aware of Aloe Vera’s anti hair fall properties.

Applying Aloe Vera gel to your scalp cleanses the pores which causes opening of pores promoting hair growth.
Mix some Aloe Vera gel to your shampoo and apply to your hair, leave on the mixture for 10 mins before washing.

3)   Amla

No list of ‘things that reduce hair fall’ would be complete without Amla, it is commonly used in Ayurveda and now also being used in modern day formulations.

Amla is rich in Vitamin C it prevents hair breakage and split ends, it is also used to get rid of grey hair.
You can apply Amla directly on your scalp and hair or you can consume it in forms of juice or raw slices of Amla.

Mix equal portion of Amla and Lime juice (2-3 teaspoons approx) apply the mixture on your scalp and let it rest for 1-2 hrs, rinse with warm water.

4)   Fish Oil

Fish oil is a great source of PUFA and is also rich in Omega 3 fatty acid. These fatty acids increases hair growth, increases hair density, and also prevents dry scalp and dandruff.

One can easily include fish oil in his/her diet. If you are not a big fish fan no need to eat it, try using fish oil supplements they will give you all the goodness of fish without even eating it.

Yoga is a very effective way to control hair fall it basically relaxes the body keeping it away from stress.

Certain yoga asan such as Uttanasana involve tilting the head downwards to increase blood flow in the head that results in hair growth and decreased hair fall.
