Xiaomi, The Budgeteers of the Indian smartphone market has officially announced another successor to their mid-range note lineup. Redmi Note 6 Pro is confirmed for Thailand market ahead of its launch even in its parent country China. This time Xiaomi didn’t created much hype about the product, no fanfare, no contests, all in all Redmi note 6 launch was more “Sookha Sookha” than the typical Xiaomi style.

Redmi note 6 pro aims to refresh note 5 pro series which is currently one of the most sought after phones in budget 12-16k price bracket. According to a report, Xiaomi sold 5 million 5/5note pro’s in India. However it would be fair to say that the product is not as exciting as it was expected to be. The rumors and leaks showed a far exciting version than the final launch.

Phone has received just a few major updates in the display and camera section rest everything remains more or less the same, Xiaomi didn’t even changed the design of the phone which has the footprints of Redmi note 3, launched more than 3 years ago.

The processor powering RN6 Pro remains the same Snapdragon 636 which undoubtedly a capable midrange processor but nowhere close to the expected snapdragon 660. Version launched for Thailand has 4GBs of RAM and 64GBs of internal on-board storage, external memory cards can be put in via hybrid slot solution.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 has the new industry standard 1+1 camera at rear while the rare feature is that RN6 pro also sports 2 cameras on the front. Rear Combination: 12MP main sensor + 5MP secondary, along with AI capability in portrait shots . Front Combination:  20MP main sensor coupled with 2MP secondary sensor, meaning the selfies going to be a lot better than rear camera shots.

Redmi Note 6 pro can be unlocked with just a glance on the front of the phone, thanks to face unlock sensor. It also has fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone to unlock. All the tech is powered by 4000+ mAh battery which will easily lasts for one full day or may be even more depending on the usage.

RN6 Pro is structurally well built device, inner body housing is made of plastic shell and outer aluminium metal sheet which gives the device solid in-hand feel. Back of the device is prone to dents and scuffs. When a lot of manufacturers giving up, Xiaomi redmi note 6 pro does retain 3.55mm headphone jack and micro USB port for charging.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Launch Date In India.

As of now there is no confirmation or even estimation about launch dates from Xiaomi’s side. Since the phone hasn’t been launched yet in China and the last release Redmi note 5 pro was in Feb 2018. We expect it arrive to India in 2-3 Months.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Price In India 

For Thailand market Redmi Note 6 Pro off the shelves cost for about 6,990 Thai Baht, on conversion 15,700 Indian Rupees for 64/4Gb variant. Indian market may find two or more versions and combinations. This version is available in BlackBlueRose Gold colors.
