Hritik Roshan’s own fashion brand HRX and Chinese tech jumbo Xiaomi has launched a new fitness band in collaboration. Mi Band HRX Edition is available over shopping sites from 18th September. This is for very first time when xiaomi teamed with an Indian company to do business. However there is nothing new about this band instead it is just a trimmed up version of popular Band 2 from Xiaomi.
Mi Band HRX Edition lacks in heart rate sensor as compared to Mi band 2 for that matter it sells for 700 Rupees cheaper than the older version. Band is available for 1299 Rupees on flipkart and Amazon.
Product comes in a cardboard white box trying to replicate apple packaging design. Overall the package seems impressive. Box contains 1 Mi Band Sensor, 1 Strap, 1 Charging cable and a User Guide. The band weighs just 9g which makes it pretty light to use.
Band connects to your phone via Bluetooth and then you can view all your routine also the Band alerts you whenever you get any notification on the phone and vibrates during the calls too. Mi Claims that they are using better algorithm to track your body movements more precisely, however in our opinion these claims are baseless because both HRX edition and the original mi band 2 failed to accurately measure steps. Sensor registers other vibrations like travelling via any vehicle as steps. This fitness band vibrates on every 1 hr when kept ideal to remind you to take short walk or an exercise. Besides that, it calculates calories burned, step count, sleep count and vibration alarms. Band syncs data with its own MI Fit app and also supports google fit app.
