Delhi Police thwart attempted abduction of 19-year-old in Pandav Nagar

The recent incident in Pandav Nagar, Delhi, in which a man attempted to kidnap a 19-year-old girl and threatened to throw acid at her when she refused, has reignited outrage and calls for justice in the national capital. This follows the tragic death of Anjali Singh, who was dragged by a car for 13 kilometers, and another attack in which a 17-year-old girl was left with serious injuries after being attacked with acid by two men on a bike in Dwarka.

She said “Till now the country is debating the painful death of Anjali and news of another brutality has come in Delhi’s Pandav Nagar area. A man tried to drag the girl inside his car and threatened to burn her with acid if she resisted. The girl has also got injuries. How long will it run?”

Swati Maliwal, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, has issued a notice to the Delhi Police regarding an attempted abduction of a girl in Pandav Nagar.
