In the very first week of its launch Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV is thriving in terms of viewership for this week, turning out to be the most watched English news channel.
The share of Republic TV in overall viewership is 49.5 percent, whereas Times now is at 26.8 percent.
According to the data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) Arnab’s Republic TV managed to get two times more viewers than Times Now who holds the crown position in previous week’s TRP.
By the arrival of Republic TV, the overall viewership for English news channels has increased thrice in comparison with the previous weeks.
