Portable Bluetooth speakers are more than a match for their heavier counterparts like full-fledged audio speaker, providing a powerful base, precise sound, all while remaining compact enough to join you on your surprise parties. Photron P10 is an undisputed winner in sub thousand price range. Although there better and expensive Bluetooth speaker options are available to consider like a basic Jbl or sony speaker falls in 1500 to 3000Rs price range.
Build Quality:-
The speaker is very well Built-in metal housing and chamfered edges. Aluminium body with a metal grill on top gives it durability and sturdiness. The buttons are at the bottom consisting power on/off, Mode, Volume +,- and play pause button. There are 3 Led’s at the bottom create a beautiful blue ring and gives it a very good look in the dark.
Sound Quality-
The sound quality on Photron P10 speaker is real good (8 on a scale of 10), better then what we expected keeping the price in consideration. Sound is loud and clear crisp and has a good sense of bass in it. Although loudness is subjective to the user, in our review we find it just adequate for a medium-sized room. Considering that there are some distortions at a max volume which is normal. Making calls on it was also a breeze, the mic works great. All in all the sound quality is good considering the price it sells for.
Battery Life –
Battery Life on Photron P10 is real less it gives only 3 hours on a full charge that too at a medium volume level although at maximum it can survive for 2.5 hours. Charging is done via the micro USB port, Charging cable provided in the package is average quality. The battery inside is 400 mAh and gets fully charged in 2 hours.
Update After 10 months of Usage:- The battery is certainly an issue for those using this smart little speaker, in our 10months long usage as a secondary speaker and a travel mate, we found that the battery won’t last longer than 2 hours and take the almost same time to charge. Battery capacity significantly degrades with usage and after 1 year its battery needs replacement.
Modes –
Usually, you don’t get FM feature in Bluetooth speaker selling for less than 1000 Rs but Photron P10 has that, just plug it in Micro USB cable to use as the antenna and you are good to go. AUX mode is also there, for using aux you will have to use 3.5mm to micro USB cable. MicroSD was working fine too. The main highlight of the product, Bluetooth Connectivity works great and after pairing its gets connected in a few seconds and there is no lags or hiccups in high bit-rate songs. All in all the Features P10 packs in and the price it comes at is really awesome, You will also get a warranty.
Pricing –
Photron P10 Bluetooth speaker has MRP of 1999 Indian Rupees and on amazon, it sells for around 950 Rs. At this price Photron P10 is excellent and VFM product. In case you can wait for it’s better to buy in Diwali or great Indian amazon sale where you may get it for as low as 450Rs. For that price, it’s absolutely a steal.
