he beautiful city of Cardiff was the venue for the ultimate football finals in 2017, The Champions League title was on the line when the Italian giants Juventus batteled against the star studded Real Madrid.

The match was anticipated by many to be an exhilarating encounter. The captain of Real Madrid Sergio Ramos himself stated that the match was a 50-50 chance.

However the full time score showed total domination as the the final score turned out to be 4-1 in favour of Real Madrid. But the match was not always in favour of Real.

• Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring  just after 20 min of kick off.
• 7 min later Mandžukić scored a screamer that levelled the score.
• 2 Goals in quick succession from Ronaldo and Casemiro gave Real a cushion.
• To top it all off Asensio scored a late 90th min goal to assure Real Madrid’s 12 European Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not experienced the greatest of starts this season but as the tournaments progressed, both domestic and European he surely did made a difference. The 2 goals from Ronaldo made a huge impact on the game & so was awarded the man of the match.

Real Madrid has now won 12 European Championships a record unequalled by any club.
